The "Politehnica" Publishing
House
The "Politehnica" Publishing House was set up/founded
in November 12th, 1996. It was created in order to increase the
prestige of the holder University through the publication of the
papers which are representative for scientific and the technical
potential of the "Politehnica" University of Timisoara. This does
not mean that the authors of the published books have to be without
fail an employee of the"Politehnica" University.
The Executive Board of the Academic Senate from
the University had the initiative of founding the publishing house.
It seems to be viable and profitable not only for the image of
the university, but also for the professors and the students who
teach or study in the institution. When the publishing house was
founded, the Executive Board was made up by: "Politehnica" University.

The main target of the "Politehnica" Publishing
House is to strengthen its position as an institution focused
on technical, scientific and didactic books, bringing more prestige
to the holder University. Another target for it is to assure the
quality (in shape and content) at a reasonable price. In the case
of the reedited books, they apply the principle of continuous
improvement based both on the suggestions made by the reviewers
and the editorial observations or the revisions of the author.
The "Politehnica" Publishing House was recommended
to the National Council for Certifying the University Titles and
Diplomas following the evaluation of the applications laid at
the National Council of Scientific Research in the University
(CNCSIS), in order to have the published books taken into consideration
at the National Centre for the Politics of Science and Sciencemetry
in its strategic programs.
